Materials Needed:
o 3.5mm Crochet hook
o Scissors
o Yarn needle
o Mercerized cotton yarn, 3-6 colors depending on the graph.
I used lion brand’s 24/7, Medium size 4, worsted weight mercerized cotton. 100 grams/3.5 Oz. You will need 1-2 skeins for your base color (depending on size, I would buy 2 to be safe) and 1 skein per color on the graph.
**You can use any yarn desirable to you BUT I highly recommend mercerized cotton yarn. It produces less lint, is more resistant to mildew, and is stronger than other yarns. You want a strong yarn that will not snap (especially when you cinch the top of the beanie). I also want to point out that some testers had trouble with acrylic in particular because of its density; This caused the hat to turn out larger than expected & have less of a stretch.
