Hallo-Beanie (deluxe) pattern
Hallo-Beanie (deluxe) pattern
Create your dream Halloween themed beanie with this in depth pattern that includes 16 designs to choose from!! This advanced-beginner pattern consists of graph links and tons of demos with step-by-step photos to show the beanie making process. Graphs are also provided for both right and left-handed crocheters as well.
Although there are some complex graphs, I’ve labeled this an advanced beginner pattern because there are lots of designs that are on the simpler side; the Bat being one of the simpler graphs (having only 2 colors). I also believe that an ambious beginner could 100% tackle these graph designs if they wanted, especially after practicing with a simpler graph. Once you understand the basics of color changing & reading graphs (which I’ve provided in depth demos) you can really work any graph.
Also note that attached to this pattern are separate PDFs containing just the graphs for people that prefer to print out physical copies when working on their projects.
All PDFs are automatically sent in a zip file to the email provided at checkout!
Materials Needed
- 3.5mm Crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Mercerized cotton yarn, 2-5 colors depending on the graph.
I used lion brand’s 24/7, Medium size 4, worsted weight mercerized cotton. 100 grams/3.5 Oz. You will need 1-2 skeins for your base color (depending on size, I would purchase 2 to be safe) & 1 skein per color on the graph.
**You can use any yarn desirable to you BUT I highly recommend mercerized cotton yarn.It produces less lint, is more resistant to mildew, and is stronger than other yarns. You definitely want a strong yarn that won’t snap (especially when you cinch the top of the beanie). I also want to point out that some testers had trouble with acrylic in particular because of its density; This caused the hat to turn out larger than expected.
