Banana x Kaputar tapestry pattern

This is an intermediate pattern consisting of graphs links and a variety of demos on all the techniques used to create the slug tapestry. Skills needed to work this tapestry include color changing, reading a graph, making a moss stitch border, and attaching a dowel rod. You will need internet access for the graphs. Color block instructions and written instructions can be accessed via stitch fiddle. There is also another PDF included in this file that has the color block instructions.

Materials Needed:

o   Crochet hook (I used a 3.5mm hook)

o   Dowel rod, 32in long, I got mine from Joann fabrics (I cut mine in half to apply on the top & bottom of the tapestry).

o   Scissors

o   Yarn needle

o   Yarn, 9 colors for Banana, 7 colors for Kaputar. I use Lily’s sugar n cream, Worsted 4ply cotton. 1 skein is 113g/4oz, 174m/190yds.

o   Wi-Fi/internet connection to access the graph

Both tapestry designs are the same dimensions. The graphs are 55 stitches in width (12in/30cm) and 110 rows in height(25in/63.5cm). The size of your piece will change depending on the hook, yarn weight, and your tension.
